2005 Al Morris Regatta

Ron and Nicole Runyan won all three races at the Al Morris Memorial Regatta hosted by Willamette Sailing Club at Yale Lake, WA. The first race on Saturday was gusty with shifts. Ron and Nicole escaped a starting line pile-up to come back for the win. The wind settled a bit for the second race and became light for the third race, which saw the wind switch 180 deg. during the second-to-last leg. Two more bullets for the Runyans! Sunday morning saw enough breeze to get boats out to the racing area, at which point the wind died. After 2.5 hrs. of drifting, napping and swimming, the RC abandoned and everyone paddled for home.
